Background Information

History of Division of General Affairs

His Majesty the King Bhumibol Adulyadej endorsed the University of Phayao Act 2553 B.E. on the 12th of July 2553 and on the 16th July 2553, the Royal government gazette made public the royal command. As a result, the University of Phayao was officially separated from Neresuan University and became an autonomous public university under a Royal Charter.

At the same times, university considered of separate the service faculty division into 8 divisions and 3 zones such as Division of General Affairs, Division of Student Affairs, Division of Personnel, Division of Education Services, Division of Planning, Division of Finance and Inventory, Division of Research Administration and Educational Quality Assurance, Division of Building and Facilities, Library Resource and Educational Media Center, Center for Information Technology and Communication Services and Disability Support Service Center. Since then, Division of General Affairs had divided working services into 5 parts: Works of General Affairs, Works of meetings and ceremonies, Works of director's secretary, Works of Information and Works of Public Relations.

During the 50th meeting of the university (1/2556), on 9. Jan.2556, committee confirmed that Pure Mineral Water Service will be organized by Division of General Affairs, so that Division of General Affairs will be divided working services into 5 parts and 1 unit: Works of General Affairs, Works of meetings and ceremonies, Works of director's secretary, Works of Information and Works of Public Relations and Pure Mineral Water Service.

On 4th meeting of year 2557 of the university, on 30. Sep.2557, committee was advised to transfer the Works of director's secretary to Division of Personnel, Division of Personnel, Division of Student Affairs, Division of Planning and Division of Research Administration and Educational Quality Assurance, which aimed to provide more variety inside the division. Thus, only 4 parts of working service and 1 unit left in division

On 2562, there was a change of structure of working's unit by each level as to following the policy of the university so that on 9th meeting of year 2562, 27. May. 2562, committee declared the maintenance of structure of working's unit by each level, they added on 28. May. 2563, Works of International Affairs, Souvenir Shop and unit of website development will be promoted to sub-unit working in the Division of General Affairs. On the 23th meeting, 22. Jan. 2563, committee suggested to move the Souvenir Shop into Office of the President and cancel the Unit of Pure Mineral Water Services, starting from 1. Feb. 2563.
